Accredited NVQs in Low Impact Building Materials – 2012 Survey for Construction Skills

The UK currently has no accredited NVQ level training and qualifications in Low Impact Building Materials (LIBMs – rammed earth, straw bale, clay and lime plasters and renders, etc).

RESET Development – in association with the AECB, UKGBC, RIBA, Schumacher College and CAT – is investigating for Construction Skills the built environment sector’s appetite for accredited training and qualifications. If there is sufficient interest, Construction Skills will move forward on producing training standards and qualifications in LIBMs – a major move towards mainstreaming these low impact, local, low carbon building materials.
