AECB members Sofie Pelsmakers and Kate de Selincourt have responded to a feature in the CIBSE journal which suggested that biomass boilers contribute to carbon reduction. They report that DECC itself accepts this is not always the case, and argue that targets and subsidies undermine the drive for truly efficient building.
