The AECB’s CarbonLite retrofit course receives validation from the Passivhaus Institute

Graduates of CarbonLite retrofit training allocated 35 credit points on receiving their certificate.

In December 2016 the Passivhaus Institute agreed that delegates passing our new AECB CarbonLite Retrofit course (CLR) will be allocated 35 credit points on receiving their certificate. Earlier in 2016 the Passivhaus Institute had introduced the new credit scoring system for associated Passivhaus training. Courses qualifying are all included on its approved list. This will be useful to PH designers looking to renew and, in terms of cost, it is very competitively priced option compared to other PH CPD events. Passive House Designers/Consultants who do not work in planning offices often contribute to the dissemination and implementation of the Passive House Standard to a great extent through their work as researchers or instructors, or as decision makers in government authorities. In the absence of a Passive House project, which has been planned on their own responsibility, renewal of the certificate through project documentation is often not possible for this group of people. For all those persons who are unable to renew their certificate through project documentation for a certified building, there is the possibility of renewing the certificate by providing proof of further training credit points. The new AECB course can help achieve the required points.
