While McCann and Byrne continues to supply timber and building products, Ecological Building Systems is firmly focused on the sustainable construction market across commercial, residential and self-build sectors, pioneering a ‘fabric first’ approach to designing better buildings and the use of more natural materials to optimise performance and durability.  Ecological Building Systems’ sustainable construction experts advise specifiers on the best fit solution for their projects.  The company also offers a range of CPDs, master classes, seminars and practical training to ensure specifiers fully understand the benefits of sustainable building products, in terms of embedded carbon, service life and energy performance of the completed build.  As sole importers of the products it supplies, the company is committed to ensuring it provides customers with a reliable supply chain, both from its own stockholding and distribution, as well as its national network of stockists, all of whom have been trained in the products by experts from Ecological Building Systems.  The company’s combination of advanced products and technical support combine to ensure it is at the vanguard of sustainable construction and it regularly supplies projects designed to exacting Passivhaus standards.  The company is a member of several leading trade and accreditation organisations including The Passivhaus Trust and The Passivhaus Association of Ireland.
