GCL have been appointed as QS and Employers Agent on this scheme for South Ribble Council, which delivers 12 apartments and 3 townhouses to a Passivhaus standard. The team have been engaged from RIBA Stage 3 to develop and deliver an appropriate procurement strategy.
Detailed pre contract cost planning has supported extensive design development and a robust tender process has appointed a contractor to deliver the scheme via a JCT design and build contract on a fixed price.
The Client has commissioned a Passivhaus using modern construction methods to achieve an ultra air tight and uber-energy efficient home. GCL have been appointed by the Contractor, initially to price the project and negotiate the contract sum and then to procure all packages, commercially manage the scheme and ensure profitability is maintained. GCL are also providing planning and reporting services.
