Mark Ellerby Architects is a small architectural consultancy specialising in the design and implementation of well considered ‘sustainable ‘green’ architecture across a wide range and type of project. Recent work includes ‘eco’ refurbishment of individual homes, visitor centres for wildlife charities (Wiltshire Wildllife Trust opened by HRH in 2007), innovative generic ‘green office’ design for English Nature (now Natural England), low energy school classrooms, and feasibility work for new conference centres. Invited short list for Visitor Centre for National Trust, Thomas Hardy birthplace near Dorchester. Currently completing a specialist Autistic unit for an Academy in Bedford.The practice works closely with specialists in PassivHaus design (Phil Neve: Aaben) and SIP Panel manufacturer/specialist off site contractor designing a range of educational and other buildings creating a highly cost effective near zero energy affordable and speedy solution for many construction situations. Currently working on several schemes the National Autistic Society creating ‘Inclusion’ units enabling pupils with ASD to access mainstream education.
