Abstract
In 1990, BRE published a report on energy use in buildings and carbon dioxide emissions giving an account of the current state of knowledge for the United Kingdom. Since then there have been numerous developments and improvements to the available information and analyses that are possible. This report presents an updated account of the state of knowledge for the domestic sector. A companion report does the same for the non- domestic building sector.
