Event: Retrofit Metrics: What Should We Be Measuring and Why?

Retrofit Metrics: What Should We Be Measuring and Why?

June 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free – £35.00

We are taught that retrofit is about risk management, avoiding unintended consequences and the performance gap. So what building performance evaluation techniques are available to us and how do they help us understand our retrofits? We’ll be taking a high-level look at everything from a PAS 2035 basic evaluation through to research grade co-heating measurements, and how standards like BS 40101 can help us.

Speaker: Dr Sarah Price MSci CEng MInstP

Sarah has extensive experience in Passivhaus and AECB consultancy and is a Passivhaus and AECB Certifier.  She works with the Government, BSI and other organisations to create domestic retrofit standards, guidance and training. She is a member of the Retrofit Steering Task Group set up after the Each Home Counts review, and is the technical author for the PAS 2035/2030 retrofit standard. Dr Sarah Price also works closely with the Leeds Sustainability Institute at Leeds Beckett University to further research in building performance evaluation and retrofit.
