Are there any members who've had this done on a house or houses anywhere in the UK?
Common measure now in Netherlands http://www.technisol.nl/en/cavity_wall_insulation.html
but scarce here due to higher cost in £/m2 putting people off because of failure to appreciate the “hidden” benefits of airtightness and lower U-value

Have a read of 'The Ecology of Building materials' By Bjorn Berge Page 250. This is why people don't like putting PU in their walls.
I asked whether anyone had done it, not what members thought of PU foam

To be fair David you did express an opinion as to why people are put off and that is what Blaise responded to:
