I am very cynical about the idea of insulating paint but does anyone have any actual figures or experience of the product. Huge claims are made on one web site

      Any comments

Some firms start by assuming that the reference is the conductivity of a still air layer. Some are AECB members. Not surprisingly, they achieve huge percentage improvements for their products.

Surely anything with nanoparticles must work??

Just to resurrect this topic I've been doing some research into it over the last couple of months and have come across one (American) independent test report – http://www.energyideas.org/documents/Factsheets/PTR/Insuladd.pdf. The conclusion seems to be that there are some benefits for summer cooling when applied to exterior wall and roof surfaces, but no significant improvement over standard white paint when used internally.
