          Kent Pedalhaus 2018 Update
19th May, visiting Caring Wood for a guided tour by one of the architects James McDonald Wright.
Itinerary-Start in Lenham- meeting at 0800 for breakfast (not compulsory) at Chequers Fish Bar Cafe, The Square in the historic heart of the village. Parking is available at Lenham Community Centre, and Lenham station has services to Maidstone and Ashford which arrive by 0800. Therefore if you want to get the train here, or if you want to do just one leg of the cycle, you can take the train back to Lenham.
          Grand Depart-0900
Route is on quiet lanes, but there are a small number of hills near Caring Wood (it was a quarry and is on the Greensand ridge), some quite steep. Distance is only 8.3miles, which takes 1.25 hours at 12mph (I have recce’d the route).
          Grand Arrivée 10.30
After the tour of the building we will head for lunch at a nearby pub TBA.
Paul Casey from GoElectric Bikes will be providing some free hire electric bikes, so please advise if you would like to take up this offer. http://www.goelectric.bike
You can either cycle back to Lenham, or take the train back, or cycle on to Maidstone
          Updates to follow
          Paul

Pedalhaus 2018 was a great success, 18 riders survived a full English and headed to Caring Wood, then lunched at a nearby pub. Photos will be on http://www.conker.cc website.
Any ideas for next ride, please contact me.
