My solar hot water system, installed 2009, is playing up and my plumber cannot solve problem. The pump is a Resol one with integrated controller. Although the display indicates that the pump is working no heat arrives in the tank. He has bled the system of air, topped up the fluid,to no effect. An electrcian has checked the connections. Any ideas?

Do you live in the UK by any chance? I have a hunch! š

Sorry, but I was being sarcastic. My 'hunch' was that the UK doesn't get much sunshine, which would explain everything. š
Unfortunately I don't know much about solar thermal, but I am an engineer. Regardless of whether or not you think the pump is or ought to be working, do you know with certainty that water is actually flowing around the system and at the correct rate? If not, this is where I would start.
