Hello fellow environmentally conscious designers
I wanted to share with you my research dissertation. During the final semester of BSc Architecture Technology, I have been asked to investigate an area of the Built-Environment which is lacking in research and development. My subject diverged from bioclimatic design approaches to Trombe wall systems for dwellings in Irish Climates. Conducting this research has helped me develop a good knowledge of how to optimise and devise passive solar systems on houses.
This design concept from the 60’s, that has never been devised and documented thoroughly, is now being used again in some of the most advanced projects. Examples:
