What is the best way or product to thermally upgrade a modern cavity wall, that already has some form of insulation? As a practice, before undergoing these training courses, I would have happily gone with Kingspan’s/Unilin’s recommendations. Now I’m enlightened, it would be great to hear everyone’s thoughts on this matter. We are situated in the Yorkshre dales, where stone is king and the AONB simply don’t like external insulation, which I know will be the first answer. So I’m coming to the hive mind. Any suggestions will be greatly received! I’m currently thinking cappillary active materials, to allow drying out should interstial condensation occur. Is this a way forward?
