My Building Control Officer is happy for me to use a Klargester Reed Bed System to further treat the water from my WPL Diamond DMS2 sewage treatment plant. I would like to discharge from the reed beds to a bog garden but the BCO wants to know how large a bog garden would be needed. Klargester don't know and I can't find a source that the BCO will accept. Any ideas?
And where after the bog garden??
The plants will take up some of the water, some will evaporate, and the remainder will soak through the soil. This is for a new build which will be a Passivhaus and water usage will be low, at around 70litres per person, compared to the average.
