Dear AECB members and friends,
I have recently joined the AECB trustee board. I’m currently the only trustee representing Scotland. One of my goals is to make the Scottish presence of the organisation stronger, more active and more attractive for the members. Strengthening the AECB network, experiences and knowledge exchange is an obvious starting point. This is easily done when people can meet!
An informal AECB+Friends networking and skill sharing event is planned for the evening of the 9th of March in Rutland Square, Edinburgh. Guests from, amongst others, Mass Timber Academy, Passive House Trust and Edinburgh World Heritage have confirmed their attendance.
The AECB+Friends will hopefully become a regular event allowing us to get to know each other, support each other and to successfully collaborate.
Individuals from the wider building industry will be invited to each event to help us grow our skills and networks needed to scale up the sustainable design and to efficiently move it into the mainstream with the needed impact.
