Energy as a service is an old idea that is re-emerging in different forms such as Lighting-as-a-service and Cooling-as-a-service.  With the dramatic energy savings that can come from passive house retrofits and new designs could we develop Passive house-as-a-service offering? Does it add up for the occupant, service providers and investors? Are there any models we could use or adapt? Dr. Steven Fawkes has 40 years experience in energy efficiency and distributed energy including delivering large energy management programmes, co-founding energy service companies, implementing innovative energy services transactions, and advising governments.  In 2012 he founded the ep Group, which provides advice, design services, asset management and investment to accelerate the energy transition.  The ep group’s JV with the Indian government’s EESL has invested more than £60m since March 2017. He is also a Partner of Cameron Barney, a merchant bank which provides advice and funding for energy transition companies, and the Chair of ZPN Energy, a manufacturer of rapid EV charging infrastructure. He has received awards from the Energy Institute, the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy and the India Business Group.
