Event: Modern Methods of Construction with Timber Frame and Natural Insulation

This webinar will describe the development of timber frame construction in the UK from historical traditional oak framing, the move to softwood stud panel framing through to super insulation standards using enhanced engineered systems and MMC.

The focus will be on the use of sustainable building materials for creating high performance and healthy buildings with very low embodied energy and best achievements possible for ‘Whole Life Carbon Assessment’ targets.

Jasper Meade has been in partnership with his brother, Ben Meade, since 1993, founding PYC Group. His 30 years of experience working in the sustainable building industry and specialism in timber frame systems using Warmcel cellulose fibre insulation and other blown fibre insulation products, has developed his company’s extensive knowledge in this field. Through embedded learning processes, continual improvements on design and quality building detailing, ensures that their buildings standards and performances reach best possible values. Having been members of AECB and the Passive House Trust for most of his career demonstrates his passion for sustainable within the construction Industry
