Event: York Victorian Property Retrofit Tour

Wrapt Homes and Niche Design Architects invite you to join them for a tour of two whole house retrofits of Victorian solid walled homes in York.

Vine Street
Wrapt Homes are undertaking a whole house retrofit on Vine Street a Victorian solid walled terraced council home for client City of York Council. The strategy features wood fibre IWI, lime plaster, airtightness measures, MVHR system and Vaillant Air Source Heat Pump.
The project is a demonstration for the Retrofit One Stop Shop York (ROSSY) which is funded by Innovate UK.

Brownlow Street
Our clients were interested in improving the environmental performance of the house and given us the opportunity to carry out a deep retrofit. Only the external walls have been retained. The external walls are being upgraded with a Diathonite and wood fibre insulation, triple glazed windows, Air Source Heat Pump and MVHR. A small rear extension is being added and the loft is also to be converted. The poor construction of the house has resulted in some challenges on site.  With the city centre location and lack of external space, this a challenging project for the contractor!
