Invitation for Abstracts: Research Poster Presentation and competition for the AECB Research Prize and £100 cash

We are really excited to announce the launch of the Inaugural AECB Research Prize. Researchers are invited to present their work at this year’s conference in our Poster Presentation, being held in Manchester on 25th September. The posters will be judged by a panel of esteemed researchers and industry professionals with the winning poster awarded the AECB Research Prize and £100 cash.

Abstracts to be submitted by 10th August.

For the first time, we are inviting abstracts for a poster presentation showcasing the latest in academic research on the theme Fabric Matters -Unpicking The Interplay Between Envelope And Energy Supply. Posters will be displayed at the venue for the duration of the day and Authors will be invited to attend their posters for 30 minutes to enable discourse with conference delegates.

Posters are invited from all academic researchers including students at any level. Abstracts for posters (max. 200 words) outlining the original research you propose to present should be submitted to [email protected], with “Abstract for Poster Presentation 2026” as the subject line, by midnight on Monday 10th August.

Those selected for presentation at the conference will be informed by 21st August. Attendance at the conference on the day is required for your poster to be included in the Presentation and the Competition, non-members are welcome to participate, you need to make your own arrangements for printing your poster.

A digital copy of your poster must be submitted by midnight on 17^th September to be entered into the competition.

You must be able to attend the conference on the day to have your poster included in the Presentation and the Competition. You do not need to be an AECB member to participate.
