Ian Armstrong is a RIBA Chartered Architect with a distinguished career in sustainable architecture. A proud Cornishman, Ian co-founded ARCO2 Architecture Ltd., where he serves as Director, pioneering the design of international award-winning, low-energy homes and buildings.
Educated at Plymouth University School of Architecture, Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Diploma in Architecture with a focus on Architectural Conservation, and a Certificate in Architectural Professional Practice. He is a member of the RIBA and a Certified Passive House Designer.
Beyond architecture, Ian is a co-founder and Director of ADD Sustainable Construction Ltd. (ADD SC), a company renowned for building some of ARCO2’s most exceptional projects. His expertise spans multiple sectors, seamlessly integrating innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship.
Ian is passionate about design and his philosophy is deeply rooted in sustainability, blending modern efficiency with traditional Cornish vernacular materials. His dedication to environmentally responsible architecture continues to shape projects that are both forward-thinking and respectful of heritage.
