LEAN Structures

Chartered Structural Engineer and Director of LEAN structures, a consultancy focused on clean design solutions that are efficient, economical and sustainable. My work is shaped by lean design principles: early collaboration, clear communication and careful refinement of structural schemes to reduce unnecessary material use, embodied carbon and cost while maintaining robustness and buildability. I work across new build, refurbishment and heritage projects, with particular interests in low-energy design, Passivhaus, green materials and the adaptation of existing buildings. Before founding LEAN structures in Monmouthshire, I established a structural engineering office in Myanmar specialising in historic building renovation, seismic strengthening and eco structures. I enjoy working closely with architects, clients and contractors to deliver elegant, practical structures that perform well both technically and environmentally.
