Founded in 1998, MWP are a main contractor and developer working across Wales and the Midlands, operating from our HQ in Newtown, Powys. We are a trusted delivery partner work ing across new build and retrofit, producing buildings that meet the highest environmental standards. Our mission is to deliver sustainable housing at scale. In 2020, we adopted the Passivhaus standard on all our new-build projects. This is the first step in our ambitious plan to deliver all future schemes to Net Zero by 2030. With each project, we analyse both the up-front and whole-life carbon to refine our process and commit to reducing both with every iteration. As a testament to our commitment, we have completed 55 Passivhaus units to date, with another 40 currently under construction and a further 140 progressing through planning. As an early adopter of the Passivhaus standard delivering it at scale, we have had to over come a skills gap by establishing and up-skilling a truly-local supply-chain. Each project has a target of procuring 90% of it’s supply-chain within a 50 mile-radius of the site, which all our projects to-date have exceeded.
