Progress in Practice

Progress in Practice are an innovative and friendly team of Architects and designers specialising in Passivhaus and low energy design. We work on a range of projects from new build Passivhaus homes to master planning and deep whole house Retrofits to high quality extensions. The common theme is the aim to minimise the environmental impact of buildings whilst offering meaningful value and long term beauty to a place and community. We offer a range of architectural design and sustainability services starting from concept design all the way through to Contract Administration and after care as well as PHPP modelling (Passivhaus Planning Package) and Embodied Carbon calculations. Our approach is through genuine Client engagement and community participation. We believe that Co-design is the best route to a space or place which is responsive and appropriate to the wants and needs of its user creating beautiful designs which are truly loved and therefore stand the test of time. We work across the whole of the North West with current projects in Manchester Sheffield the Peak District and North Wales to name a few.
