Angus Design Ltd is a small, independent architectural practice led by James Angus BSc MCIAT, working across Bristol, Bath and Somerset. James is a Chartered Architectural Technologist with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. Before setting up Angus Design, he worked within several of Bristol’s well-established practices, contributing to award-winning commercial and high-end residential projects. Every project is different. We take the time to understand your ideas, priorities and how you want to live, guiding you through a clear and structured briefing process. From there, we explore the specific opportunities and constraints of your site to develop a design that feels right for you, balancing creativity with practicality and budget. We have a strong interest in sustainable design and retrofit, helping clients improve comfort, performance and long-term value in their homes. Our focus is on creating thoughtful, well-detailed buildings that not only look great but also work efficiently and stand the test of time. As a small practice, we offer a personal and reliable service. You will deal directly with James throughout, with clear communication and careful attention to detail at every stage. This helps ensure your project runs smoothly and gives your builder the information they need to deliver the design properly on site. As a CIAT registered practice, we provide a full architectural service from initial concept through to construction and completion.
