I provide building performance modelling and certification services for low energy retrofit projects, with a focus on low energy retrofits and Passive House (EnerPHit) methodology. My work combines PHPP modelling with practical on-site experience. I support projects from early design through to construction, helping ensure that performance targets are both achievable in modelling and deliverable on site. This includes developing fabric strategies, reviewing details, advising on buildability, and resolving issues during construction. Alongside modelling, I work closely with contractors and design teams to translate performance requirements into clear, buildable solutions. This often involves advising on airtightness strategies, junction detailing, and sequencing to ensure consistent outcomes. As a certifier/modeller, I focus on ensuring that the submitted evidence accurately reflects the constructed building. I aim to provide a robust and pragmatic approach to certification, balancing performance, cost, and buildability, particularly in complex or historic buildings. My experience includes deep retrofit and EnerPHit-level projects, as well as advisory roles on institutional buildings such as Cambridge colleges.
