Ty Eco MMC

Tŷ Eco (Welsh for “Eco House”) is a timber frame manufacturer based in Wrexham. Drawing on over 50 years of expertise through our parent company, Minera Roof Trusses, we fabricate structural timber frames for projects ranging from small extensions to multi storey buildings. From our single manufacturing site we design and build complete timber frame house kits. We offer open stud wall panels, closed panels pre insulated with PIR or blown glass wool and bespoke panel options. These wall systems are supplied with matching trusses, joists, glulam beams and floor and roof cassettes as one integrated package, ensuring the entire structural kit arrives together and fits perfectly. Our flagship Adra PØ Passive Panel emerged from six years of R&D. This 300 mm Masonite I joist, OSB3 and membrane panel uses Knauf Supafil Max blown glass wool to form a carbon neutral structure. The panel alone delivers a U value of 0.11 W/m²K and can achieve 0.09 W/m²K with plasterboard and insulated service voids (without using PIR). It exceeds Passivhaus airtightness requirements (< 0.6 air changes per hour), contains no petrochemical insulation and arrives flat packed for rapid on site erection. Our network of approved installers can take you from slab to a weather resistant, airtight shell in days (depending on building size). By offering both conventional timber frames and the Adra PØ system, Tŷ Eco helps architects, councils, developers and self builders realise their designs while meeting AECB and Passive House Trust standards. Our aim is to make high performance, low energy housing accessible while reducing embodied carbon and supporting local supply chains.
