Post: Great Event in Greater Manchester

Greater Manchester Local Group’s Launch Event at the end of June was an enormous success! We are so pleased to see such passionate, creative professionals flying the AECB flag! Co-Leader Stephen Fisher from Progress in Practice said of the event:

“We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended last night’s launch event. The turn out was amazing and the discussion was engaging and thoughtful. We’re really excited about the next steps for this group and how we can support each other to drive positive change in the construction industry in Greater Manchester.

In particular we would like to thank Marianne Heaslip, Tim Hulse, Kit Knowles, Marion Lloyd-Jones and Stephen McCusker and Angela Connelly for contributing to a thoughtful and challenging Panel Discussion.

Retrofit was at the top of most people’s agenda and there was an amazing amount of experience and expertise in the room. There were also a lot of topics that we weren’t able to cover in a single event, but we plan to focus on over a series of workshops over the next 12 months.

For people interested in helping plan these workshops there will be a planning evening coming up on 6th August. For everyone else, please save the date for 18th September for our next event.”
