New Webinar Booking Now – Levenshulme Area Based Retrofit Scheme

Carbon Co-op’s Levenshulme Area-Based Retrofit Scheme brings together innovative forms of finance, bulk procurement, contractor training, and householder engagement to pilot a closed-loop economic system for local domestic retrofit through a community client intermediary. The project has just completed its pre-construction phase and is preparing to get onsite in August. In this webinar, we will look at two aspects of the pre-construction phase, our approach to developing a project in partnership with our architect and contractor, and the benefits and challenges of collaboration; and learning from our people-centred approach to resident engagement.

Aneaka Kellay, Resident Liaison Officer, Carbon Co-op

Aneaka has nine years of experience in the Retrofit Team at Carbon Co-op. She pioneered work around people-centred approaches to retrofit through the Retrofit for All Toolkit in 2021. She has extensive experience as a facilitator, and trainer and in engagement with householders, communities, local authorities and retrofit supply chain.

Sophie Norton, Project Manager, Carbon Co-op

Sophie has worked in heritage conservation and retrofit roles in the public and third sectors. She is interested in the wider social benefits of conservation and retrofit, particularly regarding education and skills. She has a longstanding interest in the impact that building conservation as a discipline has on the craftspeople that practice it, which was the subject of her PhD research at the University of York.

This webinar is CPD accredited for 1 point for all attendees
