Post: New build house certification

We have recently certified ‘Hornbeams’ in the Suffolk countryside, to the AECB Carbonlite Standard. (Legacy).  Project Orange were architects.  Featuring HPV (heat pump ventilation), Solar PV, Sunamp thermal battery for hot water.  There are no wet services for heating, allowing for a high thermal mass floor with timber on concrete slab on 600mm recycled foam glass insulation.  The walls and roof are timber construction with hemp/ flax/ wood-fibre insulation, and with breathable self-finished lime plaster to the walls.
