We’re posting this information here on behalf of one of the authors of our AECB CarbonLite Retrofit Coordiantion course because it may be of interest and value:

        Retrofit café

→ How: online through Google Meet; take questions in advance or discuss during the session
Given the extremely high number of buildings to be retrofitted and the small number of professionals trained to deliver retrofits, a joint effort is needed to discuss the best retrofit approaches and also to create a network of professionals that can support each other. The Retrofit Café sessions aim to support anyone currently undergoing any retrofit training and looking for a support network. The sessions are informal and provide an opportunity to ask questions or share experiences about anything retrofit-related, both within the PS2035 framework and outside of it. Specific questions can be sent in advance or asked during the meeting.
The sessions are run by Maria Moise, one of the AECB CarbonLiteTM Retrofit Coordination course writers & tutors. Maria is also a trained Retrofit Coordinator and an AECB CarbonLiteTM graduate and she runs an architecture practice that specialises in working with existing buildings.

The next Retrofit café monthly session will happen on Friday the 16th of December at 12pm. Please feel free to join whether you are on the CLR Foundation course or CLR Coordiantion course or where you are at with the courses.

Questions can be asked on the day or send before to maria@retrofitplusarchitecture.co.uk

Retrofit monthly meeting: Friday 16th December at 12:00 – 13:00
Google Meet joining info – Video call link: https://meet.google.com/wmk-edcz-bhm

The more specific the question, the better it would be to send it in advance so Maria can prepare a detailed answer.

Please note that this is an independent ‘café’ forum and not an AECB organised event and therefore the AECB is not responsible for the information provided and exchanged within the sessions.

If there is sufficient interest in joining these sessions, we will post further to provide the confirmed timings and details.

The AECB will not be passing on any student details etc., and those persons wishing to join the ‘café’ would need to use the details provided above to contact the organiser themselves.
